Where are you? We are based at Unit 18 Botany Park, Botany Ave, Mansfield, Notts NG18 5NF. You can go to the contact us page to find out more about our location and how to get to us. What hours is the Resource Centre open? We are open every Tuesday, and Thursday, 10.00am - 1.00pm and 4.00pm - 8.00pm every Wednesday. Other times by prior appointment. Do I have to be a member to use the Resource Centre? Yes, only members can use the Resource Centre. There are four bands of membership. (Please see the membership page for more details). Do we get a membership card? Yes, one card is issued to each group when it joins and is renewed each year of membership. A current membership card MUST be shown at each visit. Can I bring children along? Yes, children of all ages are welcome as long as they are supervised by an adult. Do we have to pay for the Scrap materials? NO, all scrap materials are absolutely free to qualifying member groups. Is there a limit on how much "Scrap" we can have? Not as such, but we say please be reasonable. Can we order goods on line? Unfortunately not, however you could email your order and we can have it ready for you. Can we book hire equipment via the telephone? Yes, you are welcome to ring up and book the hire equipment. All groups have to collect and return the equipment themselves. Full payment is required when goods are collected. Please note that you are responsible for your own public liabilty insurance. Are there other Scrapstores in the UK? Yes, there are over 100 Scrapstores throughout the UK, all differ from each other and have there own rules and regulations. The UK Directory of Scrapstores is a good starting point for checking what is available in your part of the country.
What hours is the Toy Library open? We are open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10.00am - 1.00pm and 4.00pm - 8.00pm every Wednesday. How much does it cost to be a member of the Toy Library? Membership of the Toy Library is free. What happens if we break a toy? Nothing, as long as the damage is not malicious we are not concerned. Toys are made to be played with and the inevitable outcome is that they may break. All we ask is that you let us know so that we can repair or replace the damaged item. Do you run workshops? In the past we have always run workshops throughout the year. However due to funding issues we are unable at present to provide these. However if you are desperate for some ideas Gail is always willing to help. When is Playday this year? Our Playday is on Thurs 5th August this year from 13.00 - 16.00hrs, at Carr Bank Park as usual. I would like to volunteer with Mansfield Play Forum - how do I do this? Firstly, check out our volunteering page it has lots of information for you, you can then either download our application form or contact Lesley Buxton who will arrange to meet with you either for a chat or for an informal interview.
