Mansfield Play Forum Toy Library was set up in 1990.
We are one of Mansfield Play Forums core projects we are run by a voluntary Management Committee.
The Toy Library is run by Gail Bodak, Dave Green and Jess Buxton, and is managed by Lesley Buxton the Play Forum Co-ordinator.
Mansfield Play Forum Toy Library serves hundreds of children in the Mansfield area. The Toy Library is open to families, groups and individuals involved in providing care for children. You may be a foster parent, a child minder, or involved in a group activity such as an After School Club, a Playscheme or Preschool. Anyone who looks after children is welcome.
Our Toy Library is an exciting place to visit, like an Aladdin's cave full of things you want to take home. We have an extensive range of toys, the selection is fantastic with age ranges from 0 up to 8 on selected toys. We have a wide range of story-sacks, special needs toys, baby toys, games and puzzles, dressing up and many, many more, all on loan for up to four weeks at a time. We lend quality toys and games which adults and children can enjoy together. Many of our toys promote inclusion, with some specially designed for children with disabilities. We also have a wide range of multicultural toys.
Our staff are happy to give advice about specific toys for individual children, or alternatively what resources would suit group play.
